'Sherlock' star steps out at the Madonna Inn

"Sherlock" star Benedict Cumberbatch stopped by the Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo on Tuesday night during a Cal Poly Salsa Club event. He posed for pictures with fans and even took a spin on the dance floor.

The English actor, whose screen credits include "12 Years a Slave," "Star Trek Into Darkness" and "The Hobbit" movies, is best known  as the star of the hit BBC series about super-sleuth Sherlock Holmes.
