Local author to sign book in SLO

Local author Mark Huntley Parsons will sign copies of his new book, “Road Rash,” at Barnes & Noble in San Luis Obispo on Saturday.

The young adult book, published by Random House, features a 17-year-old drummer named Zach, who goes on a summer tour with a new band. Parsons, a drummer himself — and longtime contributor to “Modern Drummer” magazine — will begin signing copies of the book at 2 p.m. Saturday.
