Fourth of July festivities will be in full swing Monday as communities across San Luis Obispo County celebrate throughout the day. This year, firework shows will be held in Cambria, Cayucos and Pismo Beach. All events are free, not including breakfasts, barbecues and some activities.
Here is a list of Fourth of July events:
1 p.m. Village Band concert, benefit raffle, tours of historic buildings. Bring lawn chairs and blankets. Rotary Bandstand, Heritage Square Park. Refreshments for sale. 473-2250.
8 a.m. Pancake breakfast fundraiser followed by Doggie Parade, email email@example.com to register your dog, also check in with your dog in the morning. Avila Beach Community Center, 191 San Miguel St. 627-1997.

11 a.m. Live music, food, dancing, kid races, bounce house, pie-eating contest. Fireworks at sunset. Shamel Park, 5455 Windsor Blvd. 927-3624.
The Cambria Connection: 2 to 5 p.m. Annual Fourth of July Celebration. Free barbecue and potluck, alcohol-free event. Live music, dancing. The Cambria Connection, 870 Main St. 927-1654.
5 a.m. Sand sculpture contest, 10 a.m. parade followed by barbecue, bingo. Fireworks from the pier at 9 p.m. Downtown Cayucos. 995-1200.
10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Skateboard race, bike parade, food, drink, music, children’s activities, flag ceremony. Bring your own picnic. Tidelands Park, at the south end of the Embarcadero. 772-6280.
