Country star from SLO to perform at Mid-State Fair soon. Here’s how to watch
Dasha, a breakout county music star from San Luis Obispo who’s built “a powerful global fan base,” is performing at the Mid-State Fair on Wednesday.
The local musician and singer-songwriter Annie Bosko will perform opening acts for the popular country band Old Dominion. The concert is set to take place at the Chumash Grandstand Arena at 7 p.m. Wednesday, according to a news release.
At 26-years-old, Dasha has already written more than a thousand songs and had one of the most-streamed country tracks of 2024, “Austin (Boots Stop Workin’),” which reached more than one billion listens.
That song propelled the San Luis Obispo-star to win Female Song of 2024 at the People’s Choice Country Awards, the release said.
Dasha has previously performed at Stagecoach, Austin City Limits, CMA Fest, the CMT Awards, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve.
But in a June interview with Mustang News, she said that playing the Mid-State Fair has always been “a bucket list thing” for her.
“SLO is just like a magical place, that’s what I tell everyone” Dasha told Mustang News. “It’s like half redneck half surfer.”
Tickets for the Mid-State Fair concert are priced at $70, $80, $90, $110 and $120, the release said.
