The Best Sports Film and Sequels Are Coming to Netflix in June 2026
The sports genre often tries to motivate audiences with what's possible and be full of heart. But many of them are good, not great. Rocky is number 56 on the American Film Institute's list of the best films. The full franchise is coming to Netflix this summer.
Where to Watch the 'Rocky' Movies
On June 1, all Rockymovies but Rocky II will be available on Netflix. The Creed trilogy will also be on the streaming platform.
The original movie won the Oscar for Best Picture, Best Director, and Film Editing. Stallone was nominated for Best Writing, which isn't surprising because the movie's lines have been referenced since its release.
The franchise will continue to grow beyond the movies. Prime Video will release a TV series called Delphi, set in the Creed universe. It will follow a group of young boxers training at an elite boxing academy.

Benji Santiago, Juan Castano, Demián Bichir, André Holland, Andre Royo, Sofia Black-D'Elia, and Victoria Vourkoutiotis are cast as series regulars, according to Deadline. Santiago, 29, will portray Santi Torres, who is the little brother of a gifted brother. That gifted brother is Nico Torres (Castano).
The Rocky franchise is closely tied to Philadelphia, and that relationship is remembered with a Rocky Balboa statue on top of the "Rocky Steps" where the character ran. The new show will be tied to Los Angeles, where the Torres brothers were raised.
The franchise also relies on the bond between mentor and boxer. The new show continues that with Holland, 46, playing lead instructor Teddy ‘T-Bone' Parker.
It's unclear when it will be released, but at least fans can brush up on the movies on Netflix starting in June.
