Donald Trump Jr. and Bettina Anderson Reportedly Marry Ahead of Intimate Ceremony in the Bahamas
Donald Trump Jr. and his fiancée, socialite Bettina Anderson, are officially married, according to recent reports. TMZ broke the news on Friday afternoon that the couple had legally wed, filing for a marriage license in Palm Beach, Florida. Per TMZ, the Trump family's real estate attorney, Brad McPherson, officiated the legal ceremony. Even though the happy couple may have already tied the knot, that doesn't mean they won't have a Memorial Day weekend wedding.
Earlier this week, Page Six reported that Trump Jr. and Anderson were set to wed in an intimate ceremony in front of close family and friends on a private island in the Bahamas. Since the announcement, the groom-to-be's father, President Donald Trump, has twice seemingly confirmed the nuptials.
On Thursday, while speaking to reporters at the White House, the president said he may have to miss his son's wedding, explaining, "He'd like me to go, but it's going to be just a small little private affair, and I'm going to try and make it. I'm in the midst…I said, ‘You know this is not good timing for me.' I have a thing called Iran and other things."
Trump doubled down on his absence, issuing a statement on Truth Social Friday, "While I very much wanted to be with my son, Don Jr., and the newest member of the Trump Family, his soon to be wife Bettina, circumstances pertaining to Government, and my love for the United States of America, do not allow me to do so."
The president continued, "I feel it is important for me to remain in Washington, D.C. at the White House during this important period of time." Of course, he did wish the happy couple well, writing, "Congratulations to Don and Bettina! President DONALD J. TRUMP."
According to reports, the president was set to go to his Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster over the Memorial Day weekend. Following the announcement on Truth Social, his plans apparently changed, and he is set to remain in Washington, D.C.
Trump, Jr. asked Anderson for her hand in December of 2025. The president announced the engagement at a White House event later the same month.
Anderson posted a video and pics of the pair's lavish Mar-a-Lago shower last April. While the commander-in-chief did not attend the affair, opulent affair. Trump Jr.'s sisters,Ivanka Trump and Tiffany Trump, along with his sister-in-law (Eric Trump's wife), Lara Trump, celebrated the happy couple. There's currently no word on the wedding guest list.
