SLO County water park celebrating 20 years with big changes. See what’s new

Imagine a lively splash zone for the kids, with a new quiet and relaxing cove for the parents nearby.

That’s what Ravine Waterpark is unveiling this Sunday at its celebration marking 20 years of business at Airport Road in Paso Robles.

This summer, Ravine Waterpark will feature a transformed splash pad, or “Splash Lagoon,” with an interactive water structure and multiple new waterslides for parents and kids — including a four-person racer slide, according to the park’s news release.

A new splash-free zone, coined “The Cove,” will serve as a retreat for parents and families in need of a more quiet space.

Approved by the Paso Robles City Council in April, the area features a splashless pool and hot tub, alongside an elevated dining menu and expanded bar options with upgraded cabanas set to open mid-summer, the release specified.

Attendees can also purchase premium cabana experiences which include front area parking passes, personal refrigerator access, 20% off at the Bongos retail store and a custom tote bag with a towel, goggles, mini golf passes and more.

Ravine Waterpark offers premium cabana experiences for its 20th year in business offering guests a cabana with a personal fridge, WiFi, front area parking, and a Ravine-themed tote bag with poolside accessories.

When’s the kick-off party? How much does it cost?

These new attractions will be featured at the Ravine Waterpark’s season kick off and 20th anniversary party this Sunday, May 17 — a week before its full season opening.

The celebration will run from noon to 5 p.m. at 2301 Airport Road in Paso Robles. Tickets are complementary for season pass holders, and a limited supply is available to the rest of the public for $20 while supplies last.

According to the release, the event will include Hawaiian music at the Tiki Bar, a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Splash Lagoon, birthday cupcakes and other festivities. Guests can also get 20% off on cabanas, food and rentals.

“Reaching 20 years is an incredible milestone for Ravine Waterpark,” Brett Butterfield, partner and co-owner, said in the news release. “We are proud to be part of the Paso Robles community and to continue creating a space where families can gather, celebrate and make lasting memories.”
