Justin Herbert's Appearance in Madison Beer's Music Video Sparks Fan Buzz
Justin Herbert is turning heads off the field with a surprise appearance in his girlfriend Madison Beer's new music video.
In the music video for "lovergirl," which appears on her newly released Locket (Deluxe) album, the Los Angeles Chargers quarterback, 28, can be seen getting close to Beer, 27.
Set in a beachy locale, the couple share sweet kisses, gaze into each other's eyes, cuddle in a photo booth, and play in the water together, offering fans a romantic glimpse into the couple's chemistry.
The song includes the lyrics, "I just can't help that I'm a lover girl / Why not embrace a simple pleasure? Let me hold you close / And we can take off all our clothes / I, I thank God I found you in this lonely world / Why would we ever stop ourselves from doing what feels good? / Baby, if we can, we should."
Fans were quick to notice an Easter egg in the music video. The license plate on the back of the couple's car reads, "”MBJH4EV," a.k.a. Madison Beer and Justin Herbert forever. The fan wrote on X, "We all know Madison loves hiding special meanings and easter eggs in her music videos, and she did it again!"
The video's comment section quickly filled with supportive messages from fans.
"This song just makes me want to grab my boyfriend and twirl around the kitchen. the ultimate lovergirl aesthetic ," one fan shared and another added, "She’s so in love, we can feel her. and we are so proud of her and will support her journey forever."
"I can feel the ENGAGEMENT announcement coming soon! So happy she is happyyyy," another viewer chimed in.
However, Herbert did face some criticism over appearing in the video. Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy - who is a longtime New England Patriots fan - took to X to share his thoughts.
"Call me crazy but I like my coaches and QB's concentrating on the weight room and studying game tape rather than making steamy music videos," he wrote. "But maybe that's why we have 6 rings and were in the Super Bowl last year and the Chargers can't win a playoff game."
Beer and Herbert - who first sparked romance rumors in August 2025 - also gave fans a glimpse into their relationship as they celebrated each other's birthdays in March.
On March 5, Herbert shared a heartfelt Instagram Story for Beer's birthday, writing, "Happy birthday to my favorite person of all time. I love you so much. You've changed my life forever 🤍."
Later in the month, Beer returned the love on Herbert's birthday, calling him her "dream come true," adding, "i am so lucky to be yours."
