Nenow Family Wines unveiled a new, larger tasting room on the west side of Paso Robles on April 30.

The new tasting room at 5800 Adelaida Road in Paso Robles features an open-air tasting bar and outdoor patio, private tasting room and more, according to a news release from the winery.

The Adelaida Road tasting room, located next to Adelaida Vineyards & Winery and DAOU Family Estates, is family- and dog-friendly, the release said.

The family-owned winery moved to a new spot because it outgrew its first tasting room on Peachy Canyon Road. Since the winery opened in 2020, wine club memberships have quadrupled, the release said.

“Our family knew the risk we were taking on in 2020 when we were faced with the decision of whether to move forward with the launch of our Nenow Family Wines tasting room,” Nenow Family Wines winemaker and co-owner Drew Nenow said in the release. “Despite what seemed like impossible odds, we were determined to see our family’s dream through the way we had intended.”

Nenow Family Wines has a portfolio of Rhône-style wines from Paso Robles and Santa Barbara County. Some of the wines include the 2019 Tightrope Viognier, 2020 Roese, 2019 Cuvee Andie and more, according to the website.

The origin story of Nenow Family Wines

Nenow Family Wines is owned by winemaker Drew Nenow and his wife, Andrea Nenow, along with Drew’s sister Tracie Roesbery and her husband, Mike Roesbery, the release said.

The family conceived the idea of opening a winery together in 2014, while Drew Nenow was visiting his sister, Tracie Roesbery, in the hospital after she gave birth to her second child, according to the winery website. The first grapes were purchased in 2017 and the winery opened in 2020.

“I’m so glad we said yes to opening those doors to our first tasting room because that was the gateway that led us to this next new chapter,” Drew said. “Our family looks forward to welcoming both new guests and familiar faces to our new tasting room this spring.”

The tasting room at Nenow Family Wines is open by appointment Thursday to Monday, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Visit shop.nenowfamilywines.com/Schedule-Tasting to make a reservation at the new tasting room.
