David Spade is coming to the Central Coast, along with a gaggle of comedy stars

Twenty-five years after “Tommy Boy” made him a movie star, David Spade is bringing his snarky stand-up comedy to the Central Coast.

The actor and comedian is slated to perform March 27 at Chumash Casino Resort in Santa Ynez.

Spade kicked off his show business career as a writer and cast member on “Saturday Night LIve.” After making his film debut in “Police Academy 4,” he co-starred with fellow “SNL” cast member Chris Farley in two buddy comedies: “Tommy Boy” and “Black Sheep.”

Spade’s other screen credits include the TV shows “Just Shoot Me” and “Rules of Engagement” and the movies “The Emperor’s New Groove,” “Joe Dirt” and the “Hotel Transylvania” films. Most recently, he’s appeared in Netflix comedies “The Do-Over” and “Father of the Year,” with another, “The Wrong Missy,” due out soon.

Spade started hosting a late-night show on Comedy Central, “Lights Out with David Spade,” in July 2019.

Spade isn’t the only funnyman coming to the Chumash Casino, located in northern Santa Barbara County.

Norm McDonald and Colin Quinn take the stage at the Samala Showroom on March 21, and Jeff Ross and Dave Attell perform at the venue on May 1.

Gabriel Iglesias brings his Beyond the Fluffy World Tour to the Chumash Casino this summer, performing shows on June 26 and 27.

Tickets for Spade’s 21-and-over show in Santa Ynez cost $29 to $59.
