San Luis Obispo man competes on Jeopardy!

Doug Groshart, a San Luis Obispo resident, will battle on Jeopardy! next week against two other competitors and a big board of difficult answers.

Groshart, a Cal Poly alum, is a mechanical engineer and musician, a media release from Jeopardy! says.

According to a 2012 story from The Tribune, Groshart once served as an engineer for the Oceano Community Services District.

The episode will air at 7 p.m. July 20 on NBC.
