Jared Lintner didn’t win the FLW National Guard bass tournament at Clear Lake on Saturday, but he did harvest his biggest payday of 2009.

The Arroyo Grande pro placed third in the tournament that attracted three other fellow Bassmaster Elite anglers. His compatriots finished 36th, 51st and 53rd in the field of 89 fishermen.

Lintner was consistent in the four days of competition, bringing to the scales limits weighing 20-6, 21-1, 20-12, and 20-2. His 82-pound, 5-ounce total bag weight earned him third place and a check for $32,328. Jared cashed a check in three of the eight 2009 Bassmaster Elite tournaments.

His best 2009 Elite finish was at Lake Amistad, Texas, the first stop of the tour, where he finished third and was rewarded with a $20,000 check. His Elite earnings for the year were $39,506.
