Paso Robles High football team rolls past San Luis Obispo

The Paso Robles High football team beat San Luis Obispo 38-6 on Friday night. The Bearcats were missing both starting quarterback Justin Davis and running back Christian Erickson.

Backups step up: The Bearcats were missing 10 starters for the game. Elijah Palomino scored four touchdowns for Paso Robles and had 33 rushes for 268 yards. Robert Mares, another back up to Erickson, had two rushes for 100 yards. Wyatt Gidcumb filled in for Justin Davis, scoring on a keeper from three yards out and went 4 for 9 through the air for 42 yards.

Djassemi finds rhythm: Omeed Djassemi was 12-of-20 for 118 yards on a night when the run game stalled for the Tigers. Djassemi also threw an interception, and ran for 22 yards.

What it means: The Bearcats get their first league win and improve to 1-1 in the PAC 5 going into their bye week. The Tigers fall to 2-6 and 0-2 in league play.
