Prep girls tennis roundup: Morro Bay beats Nipomo 16-2

Gaia Relandini swept 6-4, 6-1, 6-0 and Leone Koch won 6-1, 6-1, 6-0 for the Morro Bay High girls tennis team, which topped Nipomo 16-2 on Thursday. The doubles team of June Janzen and Judy Withun-At won 6-0, 6-3, 6-0, and Katrina Siems and Annie Kitzman teamed up to win 6-4, 7-6 (7-1), 6-1 for Morro Bay (8-7, 5-6 Los Padres League).

 

Mikayla Castillo won 6-2, and Nyessa Perez and Mckenna Gillespie won 6-4 for Nipomo, who takes on Coast Union on Monday.

San Luis Obispo 17, Pioneer Valley 1

Peyton Braun and Natalie Ziegler teamed up to win 6-1, 6-2, 6-3 and Nicole Kasper swept 6-2, 6-1, 6-0 for the Tigers (10-4, 8-2 PAC 8), who take on Atascadero on Tuesday.

Mission Prep 11, Laguna Blanca 7

The tandem of Grace Cegelski and Avery Munster won 6-2, 6-0, 6-2 and Maggie Ma swept 7-6, 6-2, 6-0 for the Royals (5-10) in a nonleague match. Mission Prep goes on the road to take on Paso Robles on Tuesday.

Arroyo Grande 16, Paso Robles 2

Erica Egg won 6-0, 6-2, 6-0 and Rachel Fulton won 6-4, 6-3, 6-0 for the Eagles. Mary Waterman won the two singles sets she played 6-0, 6-3 and Arroyo Grande (14-2, 11-0) swept in doubles.

Sarah Torres and Christa Nativadad each picked up singles sets for the Bearcats.

Templeton 14, Santa Maria 4

Mili Proft swept 6-3, 6-0, 6-0 and the doubles team of Sofia Talarico and Emma Gray won 7-5, 6-3, 6-0 for the Eagles (6-7, 4-7 LPL), who face Nipomo on Tuesday.
