The Atascadero High boys wrestling team took home a CIF state academic title, the organization announced Tuesday.

The Greyhounds’ cumulative grade-point average of 3.73 was the highest of boys wrestling teams in the state, earning the school a banner suitable for hanging in Ewing Gym, according to a CIF news release.

The Southern Section had the most winners of any region with 14 of the 29 recipients.
