Prep Roundup: San Luis Obispo rolls past Arroyo Grande in boys tennis

With the top two teams in the PAC 8 facing off, the San Luis Obispo High boys tennis team beat Arroyo Grande 16-2 in Arroyo Grande on Monday to remain undefeated in league play.

The Tigers did most of their damage in doubles, receiving sweeps from the teams of Adie Alwen and Cameron Dong, Chase Braun and Pablo Caminada, and Alex Dill and Sid Alwen.

Andrew Arcangel secured two points for Arroyo Grande (11-8, 6-2) taking two out of three singles sets 6-4, 3-6, 6-0.

Guillermo Bonnett added a sweep in singles for San Luis Obispo (16-3, 9-0).

Dunn 12, Coast Union 6

Alexis Mireles won his singles sets 6-0, 6-3, 6-0 as the Broncos (1-7) lost on the road.


Nipomo 221, Santa Maria 283

Adam Burrola led the Titans on the par-36 front nine at Monarch Dunes Golf Course shooting a 3-over 39.

Nipomo also had Keenan Camacho and Bryan Chow-Tran shoot 43 and 44, respectively.

Santa Ynez 211, Morro Bay 265

Morro Bay’s Noah Lyman shot a 48 at the par-36 Ranch Course at Alisal.

Tanner Shean was the medalist, shooting a 2-under for Santa Ynez.
