The San Luis Obispo High baseball team played two games in the second day of its tournament Thursday and won both of them 4-3 against Dublin and Moreau Catholic.
Against Dublin, San Luis Obispo tied the score at 3 in the final inning before Will Compton hit a ground ball and the Tigers scored on an error by Dublin’s shortstop to win.
Against Moreau Catholic, the Tigers came up with clutch offense again as Brooks Hollister singled to plate Matt Mundorf and tie the score at 3 in the seventh inning. Jeremy Jess then scored the winning run on a sacrifice fly to right field by Connor Maydole to clinch the victory in the bottom of the ninth.
The Tigers (8-6) will play in the championship game of their tournament today against El Segundo at 12:30 p.m.
Paso Robles 13, St. Bonaventure 6
Mark Armstrong and Ben Meacham each had two-run singles for the Bearcats (13-6), who won the game on their home field in the Righetti Tournament.
Matt Keller had two RBI, and Will Stroud pitched five innings in relief, allowing two unearned runs and two walks along with four strikeouts.
The Bearcats will take on Merced today at 11 a.m. at Paso Robles.
Atascadero 10, Brighton 1
Spencer Irvin was 3 for 4 with a double and two RBI, and Hunter Kirby was 2 for 3 with a double, a triple and had two RBI for the Greyhounds (6-9) in their Easter Tournament.
Holden Nix pitched a complete game, allowing one earned run, five hits, no walks and 10 strikeouts in addition to hitting a run-scoring single and a sacrifice fly for Atascadero.
San Luis Obispo 17, North Bakersfield 5, 4 innings
Janae Caldera and Megan Norris each went 3 for 4 with two RBI as the Tigers (9-7) scored early and often in the time-limited game at the Pioneer Valley Tournament.
Sabina Ybarra went 2 for 4 with two RBI, and Campbell Warren went 3 for 4 with an RBI as well.
Sami Good had five strikeouts while giving up four unearned runs and three hits in three innings in the circle.
Paso Robles 14, Orcutt Academy 0, 5 innings
Jenna Rodgers was 2 for 3 with two RBI and pitched three innings with four strikeouts, two hits, and one walk as the Bearcats (8-3) beat Orcutt Academy in the Pioneer Valley Tournament.
Hunter Young had four strikeouts, no walks and no hits in her two innings on the mound, and Chloe Kerns was 2 for 4 with three RBI in the win.
Paso Robles plays St. Bonaventure tonight at 6 in the tournament.
Pacific 6, Morro Bay 5
Taylor Merrill had two hits and two runs, and Megan Maize had a run-scoring double for Morro Bay (4-8-1) at the Pioneer Valley Tournament.
San Luis Obispo 425, Lompoc 446
Coleman Godfrey shot a 77 to medal for San Luis Obispo (8-2) at the par-72 La Purisima Golf Course.
Andy Eppright shot a 79 for the Tigers.
Dos Pueblos 15, Arroyo Grande 3
Andrew Arcangel picked up a set in singles play, but the Eagles (10-6) lost at home to Dos Pueblos.
The doubles teams of Patrick Angle and Parker Turner and Joseph Goryance and Tyler Tencati both notched a set win.
