Paso Robles, Atascadero among big football winners

Justin Davis was 13-of-14 passing for 301 yards — 232 of which went to Bailey Gaither — as the Paso Robles High football team beat Morro Bay 63-10 on Friday night in Paso Robles.

Christian Erickson was the leading rusher with eight carries for 73 yards as the Bearcats (6-0) scored 28 points in the second quarter.

Morro Bay quarterback Isaac Manuputy kicked a 36-yard field goal in the first quarter, ran for a 9-yard score in the third quarter, and followed it up with the extra point to account for all 10 points for the Pirates (2-4).

Atascadero 42, Pioneer Valley 13

Cooper Kuhnle scored the first touchdown on a 59-yard pass from Tommy Carr, leading to a dominating victory for the Greyhounds.

Carr racked up 220 passing yards, Marc Martin had a rushing touchdown in the first quarter, and Ethan Hicks scored twice in the second quarter alone.

Cole Mueller caught a touchdown, and Kuhnle’s second scoring grab came in the second quarter.

Logan Armstrong was 6 for 6 on extra points for the Greyhounds (5-1).

Templeton 47, Santa Ynez 7

The Eagles routed Santa Ynez, not allowing a touchdown until late in the fourth quarter. Gunner Griffin ran for a score and passed for two more.

Nate Avery had three catches, all of them touchdowns, for 91 yards.

Jordan Bernal was 6-of-10 passing for 169 yards and a touchdown for the Eagles (5-1). Bernal also ran for a score.
