Templeton High has announced 2005 graduate Lindsay Campana will return to her former high school to serve as athletic director.
Campana was a standout softball player for the Eagles, winning four straight CIF-Central Section titles and The Tribune County Player of the Year award her senior season. She went on to play at Cuesta College for one year, earning Female Athlete of the Year honors and setting five school records. Campana rounded out her playing career with a three-year stint at North Carolina State, where she never had an ERA higher than 1.86.
After playing, she spent three years as a pitching coach at Valdosta State, helping the Blazers win the 2012 Division II national championship.
Campana replaces Paul Jones, who told The Tribune via email he is moving on to a school in Southern California, but did not specify where.
