Paso Robles High girls basketball player Molly Donovan and track and field star Ben Nagengast each signed letters of intent this week to play their respective sports at the college level.
Donovan, a 6-foot forward who averaged 16.7 points in her senior season this year, will play at Sonoma State University.
Nagengast, who has won meets in the discus and shot put this season, will compete in track and field at UC San Diego.

Arroyo Grande 9, Pioneer Valley 3
Kyle Brown hit a home run for the second straight game as the Eagles (12-6-2, 7-3-1) moved into second place in the PAC 7 standings
Dan Ramirez went 6 1⁄3 innings on the mound, allowing just one earned run.
Brown’s two-run homer, his fourth of the year, came in the second, and he had three RBI. Dylan Azevedo was 2 for 3 with two RBI, and Zack Brown was 2 for 4 with two RBI. Garrett Ball also had two hits.
Atascadero 9, St. Joseph 7
The Greyhounds won on the road against the Knights to climb into fourth place in the PAC 7 with Pioneer Valley’s loss.
Atascadero (10-10-1, 5-5-1) was led by first baseman Corbin Meikle, who went 4 for 4 with a home run and two runs. Designated hitter Ethan Hicks had three RBI, and Brian Kirkpatrick and Joe Johnson each went 2 for 4.
Clarke Ball had the save for Atascadero, pitching 2 1⁄3 innings.
Righetti 4, Paso Robles 1
The first-place Warriors beat the last-place Bearcats in a PAC 7 game in Paso Robles.
Paul Anderson pitched 5 1⁄3 innings and gave up one earned run, and Rudy Binkele had the only RBI for the Bearcats (5-14, 1-10).
Cameron Jones was 2 for 3 with a run for Righetti (17-6, 10-5).
Mission Prep 3, Coastal Christian 2
Krista Arndt allowed two hits and struck out eight in the win at home.
Arndt also went 2 for 4 for the Royals (4-13), who had RBI from Grace Ready and Veronica Meissner.
Maricopa 16, North County Christian 0
North County Christian was routed in the home game, but improved from its last showing in a 37-1 loss to Maricopa.
Liz Crespo, Grace Bolton and Janelle Honeycutt had the Crusaders’ (0-13, 0-6 Coast Valley League) three hits.
