The Paso Robles High softball team defeated Lompoc 3-2, but fell to Alemany 4-3 in its two games at the Arroyo Grande Softball by the Beach Tournament on Thursday.
The Bearcats’ Jenna Wookey struck out 13 and allowed four hits against Lompoc that was called after six innings because of time restraints.
Brylee Loya was 2 for 3 with two RBI for Paso Robles (10-6).
Earlier, the Bearcats lost to Alemany by one run in another six-inning game.

San Luis Obispo dropped its first game of the tournament 7-0 to Buchanan, but the Tigers later battled back from a 6-2 deficit to defeat Cabrillo 8-6.
Andrea Reynolds went the distance against Cabrillo, striking out seven and walking one in the win. At the plate, Reynolds was 2 for 3 with three RBI and two triples.
Madi Waiters was 3 for 4 with two RBI and two runs , Hailey Rich was 2 for 3 with a double and two runs, and Rhiannon Ferriday was 1 for 3 with two RBI for the Tigers (11-5).
Nipomo suffered its first two losses of the season, dropping a 1-0 game to Buchanan, and later suffering a 3-1 loss to San Joaquin Memorial.
Courtney Cuzick (8-2) went the distance against Buchanan, striking out nine and allowing no earned runs. Ashley Ruiz was 1 for 3 with a double for Nipomo.
Cuzick struck out five in three innings against San Joaquin Memorial, while Ruiz was 2 for 2 for the Titans (10-2).
Arroyo Grande at Don Lugo Tournament
The Eagles began the tournament with an 11-0 shutout over LaVerne Lutheran.
Connor Leachman (1-0) pitched six innings and struck out four for Arroyo Grande.
Casey Muth was 3 for 4 with two RBI and three runs, and Jayce Thoming was 3 for 4 with an RBI and two runs for the Eagles.
Arroyo Grande later had just three hits in a 1-0 loss to Don Lugo.
The Eagles (7-5-1) will play for third place today.
Paso Robles 5, St. Bonaventure 4
Bailey Gaiter was 3 for 3 with a double and a home run in the first inning to set the pace for a Bearcats victory at the Righetti Tournament.
John Baldwin pitched 51⁄3 innings in the win, and Paul Anderson had the save for Paso Robles.
Matt Keller and Lazoch Ford each hit RBI singles for the Bearcats (4-6).
TRACK & FIELD
San Luis Obispo’s Connor Hall is in fourth place out of 27 boys through the first five events of the decathlon.
Hall ran the 100-meter dash in 11.61 seconds, and the 400 in 50.75. In the long jump, Hall went 20 feet, 4 1⁄2 inches and went in the high jump 5-9 3⁄4.
Chris Toh is ninth for San Luis Obispo, finishing the 100 in 11.35 and going 20-11 1⁄4 in the long jump.
Alex Dalley is in ninth place for the Tigers after completing the first four events of the girls heptathlon.
Dalley finished the 100 hurdles in 16.04 and the 200 dash in 27.33.
San Luis Obispo’s Kelsey Harper is in 13th place, and Ariel Becker is in 18th.
Harper finished the 100 hurdles in 16.18 and the 200 dash in 27.96.
Becker finished the 200 in 27.29 for the Tigers.
