The San Luis Obispo High girls golf team made its first foray as a team to the CIF-Southern Section team finals, and the Tigers grabbed a top-10 finish.
San Luis Obispo finished eighth and Arroyo Grande finished ninth in the Northern Division team finals Monday.
The Tigers shot a 452, led by Nora Zakaria’s 80. Sam Tsau had a 91, Neha Sikand shot a 93, Elizabeth Soll carded 92, and Sam Lopez had a 96.
It was the first time the Tigers sent a team to the section playoffs, according to coach Michael Samaniego.

The Eagles shot 458 behind Anna Zhang’s 83 and career-best days from Ramie Castilleja (86) and Megan Donegan (87), Eagles coach Claudia Souder said. Breana Garcia shot a 97, and Tessa Oates had a 105.
Notre Dame won for the second year in a row with a 373.
Zakaria, Sikand and Zhang will compete in the Northern Division individual playoffs Thursday.
