Prep Roundup: Mission Prep basketball teams tune up for playoffs

Bri Harvey and Jenna Dunbar each had huge games to lead the Mission Prep girls basketball team to a 60-37 over Santa Ynez High on Tuesday night in San Luis Obispo.

Harvey had 19 points and 16 rebounds, and Dunbar scored 18 points to go with seven assists and six steals in the final regular-season game of their varsity careers.

Fellow senior Kaylee Williams, a San Luis Obispo High transfer, added 10 points and five rebounds for the Royals (24-1).

The game was effectively over at halftime as an 18-5 Royals run gave them a 40-21 halftime lead.

Mission Prep will be off until the CIF-Southern Section playoffs begin next week.

Coastal Christian 41, Maricopa 38

Roni Garrison recorded 23 points and nine rebounds to lead Coastal Christian (7-7, 7-4 Coast Valley League) in the road win. The Conquerors pulled away in the second half, when they outscored Maricopa 33-21.

North County Christian 58, Cuyama Valley 10

Aliyah Morrison had 10 points and 12 rebounds off the bench as the Crusaders (12-2, 10-2 CVL) dominated on the road.


Mission Prep 59, Santa Ynez 42

Tyler Baty and Quinton Adlesh led the Royals (21-5) with 15 points apiece in their season finale.

Andy Rowley added 10 points for Mission Prep.

North County Christian 75, Cuyama Valley 41

Daniel Katches had 23 points and 20 rebounds, the second 20-20 game of his career, to lead the Crusaders (10-11, 8-4 CVL) to the road win.

Coast Union 71, Shandon 15

Quinten Raethke had a game high 22 points for the Broncos (13-6, 10-1 CVL) to lead them to the blowout win against the Outlaws on the road.


Morro Bay 1, Santa Maria 0

The Pirates (7-13-1, 4-7 Los Padres League) took the lead on an own goal by the Saints in the first half.

Oscar Loeza and Jeremy Neilson had five saves apiece for Morro Bay.

Coast Union 10, Orcutt Academy 0

Victor Casas scored six first-half goals and assisted on another as the Broncos (11-2-2) cruised past the Spartans at home.

Jeu Arroyo, Jose Plascencia, Michel Gonzales and Alex Bautista all added a goal for Coast Union.


Morro Bay 4, Santa Maria 1

Macey Berguson scored all four Pirates goals as Morro Bay (5-15-1, 4-6-1 LPL) won its final home match of the season.

Hanna Meisinger had six saves in goal for the Pirates.

Templeton 1, Lompoc 0

Lindsay Wyatt scored the only goal in the second half for the Eagles (6-6-2, 5-4-2 LPL). Sammy Schmidt had five saves in goal for Templeton.


Righetti 11, San Luis Obispo 8

Elizabeth Waddell led the Tigers (16-11, 7-4 PAC 7) with five goals, and Kacie Gin added three.

Goalie Zoe Berkowitz had seven saves for San Luis Obispo.
