The Morro Bay High boys basketball team defeated Nipomo 76-52 Thursday night behind a flurry of 3-point baskets and the stellar play of point guard Marcus Zorovich.
Zorovich tallied a near triple-double, putting up 12 points, 11 rebounds, nine assists and four steals against the Titans (2-5).
The Pirates (6-5, 1-0 Los Padres League) converted on 12 3-point baskets, including five from Bryce Owens (who finished with 15 points), four for Luke Munds (19) and two for Edward Griley (14).
Griley also pulled down six rebounds.
Zach Smith added nine points for the Pirates.
Ryan McNeil had 12 points to lead Nipomo.
Templeton 73, Lompoc 42
Lauren Stuedemann led the Eagles (8-2) with 24 points in their win against the Braves.
Stuedemann was 10 of 12 from the free-throw line and contributed five assists. Marrissa Torres added 15 points and Mari Stewart had 10 points and 10 rebounds in her fifth double-double of the season for Templeton.
Morro Bay 53, Nipomo 16
The Pirates (5-1, 1-0 LPL) defeated the Titans behind Sierra Schwellenbach, who had 22 points, seven steals, three assists and six 3-pointers. Hannah Gilbert added 10 points and seven rebounds for the Pirates.

Erubey Ponce had 12 saves in goal, and Caleb Doane scored with six minutes left off a Ben Jimenez assist to give the Titans (3-6-2, 1-1 LPL) the win.
Paso Robles 5, Mission Prep 0
Angel Garcia scored three goals and Daniel Arebalo and Taylor Krijakin scored one each as the Bearcats (6-0-3) shut out the Royals (0-5-1) on the road.
Morro Bay 1, Templeton 1, tie
Chloe Tinglos tied the score in the final minute for the Pirates (0-6-1), who went scoreless in overtime to force the tie.
No information was provided for Templeton.
Paso Robles 3, Mission Prep 0
Sarah Bourgault scored two goals for the Bearcats (4-1-1) in their victory against the Royals (3-4-1).
Karolina Rendon also added a goal for Paso Robles.
Bearcat goalies Carly McCall and Kelsey Vaughn both had four saves to combine for the shutout.
Nipomo 4, Santa Maria 0
The Titans (5-3-1) beat the Saints in their first shutout of the season.
Denise Belmontes had two goals for Nipomo, and Karla Ramirez and Cristina Ozzimo scored once each for the Titans.
Nipomo goalie Ebony Quarles had five saves.
GIRLS WATER POLO
Paso Robles 9, Atascadero 8
Erika Smeltzer and Zoe Zepp scored two goals apiece, and five other Bearcats added one goal apiece as Paso Robles (4-4, 2-0 PAC 7) earned the narrow victory.
Marti Rae Grois has 18 saves in goal for the Bearcats. No Atascadero information was available.
