Arroyo Grande freshman kicker hits long field goal

Garrett Owens isn’t the only booming kicker in the Arroyo Grande High football program.

Cole Ramey made a 52-yard field goal for the Eagles in their freshman game against St. Joseph this past week.

Owens, a senior who committed to Air Force, has the fifth-longest field goal in the nation at the varsity level this year, according to ChrisSailerKicking.com, with a 57-yarder Sept. 16. It’s still the longest in the state. Austin Pacheco of Carson (Nev.) has the country’s longest this season, with a 64-yarder.
