Prep Roundup: San Luis Obispo picks up volleyball road win

The San Luis Obispo high girls volleyball team overcame a one-set deficit to bounce back and grab a 3-2 win over San Marcos on the road Friday.

The Tigers won the opening set 25-18, lost the next two 26-24, 25-17 and then rallied to grab 25-14, 15-7 wins against the Royals.

Jessica Chellsen had 19 kills, and Elizabeth Culpepper had 16 kills to lead San Luis Obispo (11-2). Maggie Eppright handed out 47 assists for the Tigers, and Linnea Ramirez collected 18 digs.

Firebaugh 3, Shandon 0

The Outlaws were swept 25-21, 25-14, 25-21.

Kayla Celis had 15 digs and five aces to lead Shandon (1-2), while Donpavia Henderson added three blocks and four aces.

GIRLS TENNIS

Arroyo Grande 13, Dos Pueblos 5

The Eagles won all nine singles points en route to a nonleague victory.

Sophie Whittle, Alex Mero, and Lauren Hayashi all swept their matches and all three have yet to lose a set in four matches this year for Arroyo Grande (4-0).
