There is a new pecking order atop PAC 7 girls tennis.
After two years of falling to teammate Abigail Will in the league’s individual final, San Luis Obispo High’s Tori Troesch beat Will 6-3, 7-5 on Friday to win her first league championship at the Santa Maria Country Club.
Troesch beat No. 5 seed Mia McKinstry of Arroyo Grande 6-2, 6-2 to reach the final, while Will dispatched Eagles freshman and No. 3 seed Lauren Hayashi 6-1, 6-2.
Hayashi beat McKinstry to finish third in the league. She will be the first alternate if Troesch or Will are unable to compete in the individual playoffs.
