Three times, Rory Doll has taken a golf course for Nipomo High this year. Three times, he has earned medalist honors.
Doll, a 6-foot-5 senior, shot a 76 Wednesday afternoon at the par-72 Blacklake Golf Resort, leading the Titans (3-0) to a 445-470 nonleague win over Cabrillo in windy conditions. His performance came despite carding an 8 on a par-4 hole.
“He’s playing really well,” Nipomo coach Paul Springer said. “He’s been really consistent.”
In Doll’s previous outings, he shot a 72 and a 73, respectively, both at Cypress Ridge in Arroyo Grande.
On Wednesday, Stevie Canales added an 84 for Nipomo, while teammate Alex Mueller shot an 87. Chas Whitmore paced the Conquistadores with an 86.

The Knights’ Chris Blystone medaled by shooting a 5-over 77 at Santa Maria Country Club.
Ben Thomason paced the Bearcats (2-1) with an 82, while Kenny Romero carded an 85.
North County Christian 14, Dunn 12
Taylor Brard had a standout day for the Crusaders (1-0), the seventh-ranked team in Division 7 of the CIF-Southern Section.On the mound, Brard picked up the win, striking out four batters and walking three in three innings. At the plate, he belted a three-run triple in the top of the third inning to bring North County Christian within 4-3.
He eventually tacked on the tying run himself and finished with five RBI. Keelan Willison added two singles and an drove in one run for the Crusaders, who scored 10 times in the fourth.
San Marcos 10, Arroyo Grande 8
Despite the loss, the Eagles (3-1) claimed all but one singles matchup heading into PAC 7 play.
“We fought really hard,” Arroyo Grande coach Lori Hollister said. “We feel really confident going into league.”
Arroyo Grande’s Eli Whittle swept 6-0, 6-2, 6-4, while teammate Danny Williams also went unscathed, 6-1, 6-3, 6-4. Sean Hollister took two of three, going 6-0, 6-0, 6-7 (9-7).

The Titans lost all but a doubles matchup in the nonleague contest at home.
