March 08, 2010 10:52 PM

Despite a flawless performance from senior James Campbell, the San Luis Obispo High boys tennis team lost 12-6 to visiting San Marcos on Monday afternoon.

Campbell, the Tigers’ No. 1 singles player, swept his matchups 6-0, 6-0, 6-0. Teammate Coco Angulo won two of his three at the No. 2 spot.

Although San Luis Obispo (0-3) is younger than in years past, Tigers coach Ken Peet compiled a difficult schedule in preparation for upcoming PAC 7 play, he said.

“The guys are working hard and we’re improving,” Peet said.
