The Arroyo Grande High boys basketball team rallied for a 53-41 PAC 7 league win at Atascadero on Wednesday night.
The Greyhounds led 34-33 after the third quarter in Ewing Gym, only to see the Eagles win the fourth 20-7.
“It’s a significant win for us because it’s on the road at Atascadero, and they’re always well coached and tough to beat,” Arroyo Grande coach Ryan Glanville said. “It was a good win early in the season.”
Senior point guard Michael Escobedo had a game-best 19 points for Arroyo Grande (13-3, 2-0 PAC 7).

Troy Norris led the Greyhounds (11-4, 1-1 PAC 7) with 16 points.

Jeff McNeil led the Titans with 22 points, and Ryan McNeil added 18 in the win.
The Tigers’ rally from a 37-27 halftime deficit came up just short.
San Luis Obispo (5-9, 1-1 PAC 7) erupted for 31 points in the fourth quarter alone. Joe Agbo was the leading scorer for San Luis Obispo with 28 points.
Righetti 72, Paso Robles 56
The Warriors surged ahead with a 40-27 second half.
Lonnie Watson led Paso Robles (8-7, 0-2 PAC 7) with 19 points.
St. Joseph 56, Morro Bay 33
Morro Bay (5-9, 0-1 Los Padres League) scored just 16 points in the first half and tacked on 17 in the second.
Edward Griley led Morro Bay with 16 points and 14 rebounds.
Templeton 43, Lompoc 39
Jordan Hattar led Templeton (6-6, 1-0 LPL) with 14 points, and Dakota Oropeza followed with 10.
North County Christian 60, Coastal Christian 35
Josh Feld led the Crusaders with 26 points, 11 rebounds and nine steals.

Ashley Roese had her second hat trick of the season for the Eagles.
Mallory Flatebo scored the first goal in the ninth minute for the Eagles (12-2, 2-0 PAC 7) and also assisted one of Roese’s goals. Paso Robles 1, Righetti 0
Camelia Pacheco scored the only goal for the Bearcats in the 34th minute of the second half on an assist by Nikki Calabria.

Kiele Argente, assisted by Shannon Fontes and Alessa Moscoso, scored second-half goals for San Luis Obispo (13-0-2, 2-0 PAC 7).

Jeremy Cleere scored the first goal for the Tigers in the 18th minute to get an early lead. San Luis Obispo’s Julio Martinon scored the second goal in the 52nd on a pass by Danual Moon.

Will Stark scored the lone goal for the Bearcats (7-5-2, 0-2 PAC 7) in the 15th minute.
Arroyo Grande 1, Atascadero 1, 2 OT
Dylan Efron scored the game’s first goal in the 98th minute, giving Arroyo Grande (10-5-1, 1-0-1 PAC 7) a short-lived 1-0 lead. Atascadero’s Alex Aguiar dribbled through five players to come back with a shot to tie the score in the 105th minute.
