Paso Robles High falls to Righetti in boys water polo

Righetti High defeated Paso Robles 9-4 in a PAC 7 boys water polo match Wednesday.Bearcats senior goalkeeper Dylan Grois made 16 saves in a contest played evenly with the Warriors besides a 5-0 third quarter.

“He kept us close, especially in the shallow end,” Paso Robles coach Duane McRoy said. “He knows how to play the shallow end.”

Austin McCall and Spencer Silva each had a pair of goals for Paso Robles (11-14, 2-7 PAC 7).

Arroyo Grande 17, Atascadero 9The Arroyo Grande boys water polo team got off to an 8-3 first-quarter lead and went on to top Atascadero.

“I was happy with our defense early in the game, and then we did a good job of ball control later,” Eagles coach Steven Allen said.

Eric Marsh had a team-best six goals for Arroyo Grande (15-7, 8-1 PAC 7), while Ryan Higginbotham and Kevin Meffert each added four.

Clark Andros had four goals, and Patrick Neil made seven saves for Atascadero (12-9, 3-5 PAC 7).
