The Atascadero High boys water polo team split a pair of games at the Clovis Invitational on Friday.
Jake Vukovich led the Greyhounds with three goals in a 12-7 loss to Hanford West in the morning game, and Clarke Andros added two goals for Atascadero (11-6).
Hanford West led Atascadero 7-4 at halftime, and Atascadero was unable to recover from a scoreless third quarter.
In their second game, the Greyhounds beat Reedley 14-11. Vukovich and Andros each scored five goals. Leading 9-6 at halftime, Atascadero put the game away in the third quarter, outscoring Reedley 3-1.

Girls TennisArroyo Grande wins at homeArroyo Grande High’s Mia McKinstry dropped just three games in sweeping three matches as the Eagles’ girls tennis team (10-4) beat Dos Pueblos 11-7 in a nonleague match.
The teams fought evenly through singles play with the Eagles clinging to a 5-4 advantage.
Allie Martin and Caitlin Milich won all three of their doubles matches including a narrow 7-6 (3) win over Kim Preston and Nicole Eskensci, handing the duo their only loss of the day.
San Luis Obispo boys win at Mt. SAC
The San Luis Obispo boys cross country team finished in first place with a score of 81 points at the Mt. Sac Invitational.
The boys ran in race 15, which was three miles long.
Stephen Casper finished in ninth place for the Tigers in 17 minutes, 8 seconds.
Russell Cwong was 14th in 17:18 for San Luis Obispo.
San Luis Obispo’s girls finished in seventh with 183 points.
Catharine Yettewall finished 10th in 19:49 to lead the Tigers. Teammate Micayla Rennic was 22nd in 20:37.
