Prep Girls Tennis Roundup: McKinstry leads Arroyo Grande Eagles tennis to win

Arroyo Grande High’s Mia McKinstry avenged an earlier loss to Caitlyn Brown with a 6-2 win to lead the Eagles (7-4, 6-2 PAC 7) to a 16-2 girls tennis victory over Pioneer Valley on Friday in Arroyo Grande.

After the win over Brown, McKinstry swept the next two matches without dropping a game. She was the only singles player to win three matches.

The Eagles swept all nine doubles matches, including the team of Brianna Flood and Kimmy Turner dropping just two games.

San Luis Obispo 15, Righetti 3

Abigail Will didn’t drop a game in winning three singles matches as the Tigers (11-1, 8-0 PAC 7) remained unbeaten in league play.

San Luis Obispo swept the nine singles matches as Kristy Kayatta won three times, and Tori Troesch dropped one game in adding two more victories.

Paso Robles 15, Atascadero 3

The Bearcats (10-2, 6-2 PAC 7) rebounded from Thursday’s close loss to San Luis Obispo as the doubles team of Lauren Redberg and Lauren Hynes dropped one game in sweeping three matches.

Maria Petiy swept three single matches, all by 6-1 scores, and Savannah Carlson also won three matches.

The doubles team of Tori Contreras and Bre Nothstein won two matches for Atascadero (4-5, 2-5).
