The Templeton High boys and girls cross country teams came away with convincing victories in a three-way meet with Coast Union and host Mission Prep at Laguna Lake Park on Wednesday.
The Eagles girls had a 1-2-3 finish and were led by sophomore Savannah Camacho, who finished in 20 minutes, 50 seconds. Teammate Kaley Hook was only a second behind, and Kasey Urman crossed the finished line in 21:06.
Mission Prep’s Annie Mooney was fourth (21:21), and Coast Union was led by Heather Granada (25:59), who finished 18th.
Templeton edged the Royals 22-33 in the team race. The Broncos did not field a complete team.

For the boys, Templeton had four of the top five placers and ran away with a team score of 19. Mission Prep scored 46, and Coast Union had 63.
The Eagles were led by Bob Vanderplas, who finished in 17:20, and Bridge Eimon (18:25). Joe Schow (18:57) and Nick Landy (18:58) finished fourth and fifth for Templeton.
Coast Union’s Nathan Baldwin split the two pairs of Eagles by placing third (18:38). Mission Prep was led by Tony Lundberg (19:53) in ninth.
BOYS WATER POLO
Arroyo Grande 13, Paso Robles 4
Eric Marsh and Luka Vukamonovic each had three goals for the Eagles, who got out to a 4-0 first-quarter lead.
Casey Higginbotham and Riley Laughton each had two scores for Arroyo Grande (6-3, 3-0 PAC 7). Ryan Morgan had nine saves in the win.
Austin McCall led the Bearcats with three goals.
Santa Ynez 9, Morro Bay 5
Santa Ynez scored five goals in the fourth period to pull away for the Los Padres League win.
Zac Condit scored four goals for Morro Bay (0-3, 0-1 LPL). Jackson Newel had the other goal.
