Atascadero defeated James Logan 28-27 in overtime on Friday night in Atascadero, thanks to some late game heroics by the Greyhounds' Zack Quigley.
Atascadero jumped out to a 21-0 first half lead before James Logan stormed back in the second half by forcing five Greyhound turnovers.
James Logan tied the score with less than a minute to play and forced extra time. The Colts got the ball first in overtime and scored a touchdown, but on the extra point attempt, Quigley got his hands on the ball and forced the miss.
Then it was time for Atascadero running back Marc Martin to close it out. Martin carried the ball six of the last seven plays including on a 4th-and-3 touchdown score that set up the walk-off extra point.
