Prep volleyball roundup: San Luis Obispo improves to 6-1 in PAC 8

The San Luis Obispo High girls volleyball team swept the Royals 25-16, 25-23, 25-21 on Thursday evening, led by Holland Boege ,who had 15 digs and eight kills.

Merissa Brancart racked up 32 assists and 10 digs and Molly Eppright had 16 digs in the victory for the Tigers.

Morgan Day added seven digs for San Luis Obispo (13-9, 6-1 PAC 8), who travel to Righetti on Tuesday.

Ani Boncich and Jennifer Laird each had six kills in the loss for Mission Prep (17-4, 5-2 PAC 8). Bella Casola added six digs and three aces and Eleri Perryman registered 29 assists and 10 digs for the Royals, who face Arroyo Grande on Tuesday.

Arroyo Grande 3, St. Joseph 0

The Eagles swept 25-9, 25-12, 25-7 behind Emily Sonny’s 15 kills, three blocks and two aces.

Ashlyn Herlihy had 14 kills and three blocks, and the Eagles combined for 11 aces as a team. JuJu Fuller chipped in with 12 digs and five kills, and Eden Mostajo 11 assists.

Macie Lachemann added 13 assists and two aces for Arroyo Grande (13-1, 7-0 PAC 8).

Atascadero 3, Pioneer Valley 1

Kaylie Griffin had nine kills, five blocks and two aces in the Greyhounds’ 25-10, 25-11, 24-26, 25-16 victory.

Macie Piers had nine kills, six digs and one ace, and Brooke Harbottle notched 28 assists.

Kayla Herzig added 13 digs for Atascadero (9-10, 2-5 PAC 8).

Paso Robles 3, Righetti 0

The Bearcats swept 25-19, 25-23, 25-21 to improve to 10-7 overall and 4-3 in PAC 8 play.

Nipomo 3, Lompoc 0

The Titans swept 25-20, 25-16, 25-6, led by Gwen Menane, who had 11 kills.

Ashley Wickham had five kills for the Titans (5-6, 4-3 LPL) , who face Cabrillo on Tuesday.

Coast Union 3, Maricopa 0

Xue DiMaggio had 12 kills and seven aces to lead Coast Union in straight sets 25-5, 25-5, 25-12.

GiGi Stoothoff had 10 aces, and Regan Kniffen added seven aces for the Broncos (7-3, 6-0 Coast Valley League).

Coast Union faces Valley Christian at home next Tuesday.
