The match between the girls tennis teams of Arroyo Grande and Santa Barbara ended in a 9-9 tie, but the Eagles came away with a win Wednesday thanks to a 78-76 game advantage.
Five singles players won games for the Eagles, including freshman Delanie Dunkle (6-0, 6-0), Mary Waterman (7-5, 6-0) and Ericka Egg (6-0).
Arroyo Grande head coach Lori Hollister credited the clutch play of doubles partners Jillian Burns and Emma Mostajo that sealed the win with a 7-6 (7-0) victory in the final game. The Eagles doubles team of Josephine Graeber and Lauren Midyett added two more games, going 7-5, 1-6 and 6-3.
Arroyo Grande (11-2, 8-0 PAC 8) is back home Thursday for a league match against Righetti.
