San Luis Obispo High’s Callum Bolger won the boys race at the Ojai Invitational on Saturday.
Bolger ran the 3.05-mile course at Lake Casillas in 15 minutes, 21 seconds — a school record for the course, Tigers coach Steve Boaz said.
Bolger beat Foothill’s Moses Bojorquez by 14 seconds.
Matt White finished 15th in 17:00, and Kobi Kelly was 18th in 17:05 for the Tigers. There were more than 250 runners in the boys event.
“It was a good day for us. Really good day in the heat,” Boaz said. “A great day for Callum. He should be exciting for us this year.”

Nipomo’s Rogelio Flores was 12th in 16:54.
Atascadero’s Felipe DeJesus had a time of 17:41 (28th).
Mission Prep’s Scott Scarlach finished in 17:57 (40th).
Morro Bay’s Andrew Stafford was 65th in 18:32.
In the girls event, Atascadero’s Brittani Frace finished fourth in 19:28, while teammates Maria Orozco (12th) and Claire Livengood (15th) finished in 20:23 and 20:27, respectively.
Erica Schroeder of San Marcos won the race in 18:17.
Morro Bay’s Audrey McClish was eighth in 19:55.
San Luis Obispo’s Hope Morgan was 10th in 20:09, and Sierra Nunes was 19th in 20:46.
Nipomo’s Mackenzie Wisneski was 21st in 20:54.
Emily Riforgiate was Mission Prep’s top finisher at 23:02 (83rd).
There were more than 200 runners competing in the girls race.
