The Paso Robles High football team lost a shootout with undefeated St. Joseph, 49-31 on Friday night, despite a monster game from Christian Erickson.
Erickson ran for 340 yards and two touchdowns for the Bearcats (1-3), helping them rally from a 28-7 deficit on the road.
Quarterback Justin Davis also ran for two scores for Paso Robles, which clawed back to 35-28 in the third quarter.
But Joe Guzman scored on a 46-yard run late in the third quarter, and St. Joseph scored on a 91-yard touchdown pass from Blake Jaeckels to C.J. Cole with 2:02 remaining for the final score for the Knights (4-0).

Paso Robles added a field goal with 38 seconds remaining to close the scoring.
Davis was 16-of-25 passing for 124 yards, and Steven Schouten had nine catches for 56 yards for the Bearcats.
