Templeton High’s offense was too much for San Luis Obispo to handle Friday night in Templeton and the Eagles cruised to a 60-21 win.
Templeton quarterback Jordan Bernal accounted for six of the Eagles nine touchdowns, passing for rushing for two and passing for four more. Templeton is now 4-0.
Templeton running back Michael Capelli dashed for 261 yards on the ground and three touchdowns. Capelli also caught a screen pass and took it 64 yards for a score.
Eagles wide receiver Matteo D’Alfonso was Bernal’s favorite target on the night. He finished the game with 152 yards receiving and on a pair of 55-yard touchdowns.

Scary Moment: The game turned scary in the fourth quarter. Templeton fullback/defensive lineman Isaac Lindsey had to be taken off the field on a stretcher after suffering an apparent head injury. San Luis Obispo coach Pat Johnston said Templeton coaches told him Lindsey started having a seizure after walking off the field. We will update his condition when more information becomes available.
Tigers Air Attack: After trying their hand on the ground in the first half with Pierson Mosichuk (21 carries, 82 yards), the Tigers went to the air and had some success after falling behind. Tigers quarterback Omeed Djassemi had three touchdowns and an interception and finished the game with 295 yards on 30 of 49 passing.
