Oscar Pedroso had 26 points, seven rebounds and four assists to lead Cuesta College’s men’s basketball team to a 79-54 win over Santa Barbara City College in a consolation semifinal Sunday at the Allan Hancock tourney.
Alejandro Jorda came off the bench with 21 points, five assists and two steals for the Cougars, who advanced to play host Hancock in the consolation title game at 1 p.m. today.
Pedroso shot 10 for 11 from the field, and Jorda was 9 for 11.
“Oscar came out hitting every shot, then Jorda came in, and we had two wings firing away making every shot,” Cuesta head coach Rusty Blair said. “It was an offensive display.”

Brett Hartshorne added 12 points for Cuesta, which shot 33 for 55 (60 percent) as a team.
Bakersfield downs Cuesta women
Courtney Chadwick scored 21 points, but Cuesta’s women’s basketball team suffered a 70-63 loss to Bakersfield at the Grossmont tourney.
Melissa Lemus added 14 points for Cuesta, and Miriam Zabinsky supplied 10 points and 13 rebounds.
Cuesta will play Cypress at 3 p.m. today.
Cal Poly wrestler Lotito in hunt at tourney
Cal Poly sophomore wrestler Devon Lotito is still in the hunt at 133 pounds in the Ken Kraft Midlands Wrestling Championships.
Lotito won a 14-0 major decision over Chris Caton of Indiana and by default over Geoff Alexander of Maryland before dropping a 14-5 major decision to Tony Ramos of Iowa in the quarterfinal round.
