The Cuesta College baseball team extended its winning streak to 10 games, defeating Oxnard 5-3 on the road Thursday.
The win comes after the Cougars (20-15, 14-5) clinched the Western State Conference Northern Division title on Tuesday.
Cuesta’s Matt Bailey was 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI.
Travis Beck (1-0) pitched 8 1⁄3 innings for the Cougars, allowing three runs on six hits, walking three and striking out five.

Cuesta’s Andrew Montanari hit a double and scored twice, and catcher Parker Hindle had an RBI on a sacrifice fly.

Cuesta at CCCAA State Championships
The Cougars won the men’s 200-yard freestyle relay and established a Cuesta and WSC record time of 1 minute, 23.36 seconds in the first day of the three-day meet in Los Angeles.
The relay team consisted of Chris Reddick, Jackson Petty, Dragan Dincic and Luke Walton.
Cuesta is in second place in the team race with 118 points, behind Golden West with 144.
The Cougars took fourth in the 400 medley relay in 3:29.60.
Walton took fourth in the 50 freestyle in 21.21, and Reddick was fifth in 21.33, Dincic finished seventh (21.72), and Petty finished 10th (21.45).
