The Cuesta College baseball team downed L.A. Pierce 4-3 on Tuesday.
The Cougars scored the winning run on a wild pitch in the bottom of the ninth inning to even their Western State Conference record at 2-2.
Andrew Montanari led off the bottom of the ninth with a double, and, after a sacrifice by Marco Murillo, scored when Elliot Keene threw the wild pitch.
Montanari finished 2 for 4 with a run scored, as did Murillo.

Andrew Nelson (3-3) threw a complete game in the win for Cuesta (8-9), giving up three runs — one earned — on eight hits while striking out six.
The Brahmas led 3-2 entering the bottom of the eighth, but Cuesta tied the game on a sacrifice fly from Nicolas Rosso.
Steve Herting also was 2 for 4 with a run scored for Cuesta, and Parker Hindle added an RBI for the Cougars.
Cuesta 8, Moorpark 7, 8 innings
Trailing by one run with two outs and no runners on base in the seventh inning, the Cougars (10-12, 3-0 WSC) completed an unusual comeback to tie the score and win in extra innings.
The Raiders walked three straight batters with two outs in the bottom of the seventh, and then hit Cougars right fielder Victoria Roberts with the bases loaded to force in the tying run.
In the bottom of the eighth, shortstop Kryn Masutani reached on a fielder’s choice and stole second with one out. Designated player Summer Pratt then hit a walk-off single to win the game for Cuesta.
Masutani finished 3 for 5 with a double, three RBI and two runs scored, and second baseman Jasmine Singh was 2 for 2 with an RBI and two runs scored.
Celine Blanco (3-6) pitched three innings of scoreless relief, allowing just two hits and no walks for the Cougars.
