After an undefeated start in Western State Conference play, the Cuesta College men’s basketball team hit its first hiccup of the conference schedule.
Reigning conference player of the week Malte Kramer failed to score a basket in the first half, and the Cougars (14-7, 2-1 WSC) fell to the Moorpark Raiders 75-66 on Wednesday.
Kramer would end up scoring nine points in the second half but fouled out with 12 minutes left in the game.
With Kramer out, Cuesta’s Calen Coleman took over. He led the Cougars with 14 points despite playing through an ankle injury. Nick Sauer was the next closest scorer with 11 points.
