Freshman Peyton Bilo had the top finish for the Cal Poly cross country team at the NCAA West Regional Championships, where she finished 12th on Friday in Seattle.
Bilo completed the 6K course in 21 minutes, 0.5 seconds and earned all-regional honors.
The Mustangs women’s team finished 13th overall out of 35 teams, scoring 344 points. Oregon won the event with 79 points.
Bilo narrowly missed automatically qualifying for the NCAA Championships. She awaits the selection committee’s decision, to be announced Saturday.

Nick Woolf was the men’s top finisher, taking 56th place in 32:13.8 in the 10K race.
