Cal Poly men’s golf falls to fifth place at Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational

The Cal Poly men’s golf team fell to fifth place following the second round of the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational on Tuesday. The Mustangs shot a four-person seven-under 281 total on the par-72 Princeville Makai Golf Club course. After the two days, Cal Poly has a 21-under 565 total, trailing leader Alabama (550), Wake Forest (552) and both Alabama-Birmingham and Pepperdine at 555.

The tournament will conclude Wednesday morning. Jesse Yap shot a 67 for a 137 total, four strokes behind second-round leader Roy Coots (69-64) of Pepperdine. Yap is tied for sixth place. Justine De Los Santos shot a 71 on Tuesday and is in 12th place with a 139 total.

Jordan Wright carded a 71, for a 144 total and 30th place, and Cam Price had a 72 for a 145 and 37th place for the Mustangs.

Nick Engelhardt posted a 72 and has a 146 total for 41st place.
