Cal Poly men’s golf team in third at Hawaii tournament

The Cal Poly men’s golf team was in third place after the first round of play Monday at the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational.

Justin De Los Santos was at 4-under 68, tied for second place. Jesse Yap shot a 2-under 70 and was tied for eighth place.

Wake Forest’s Cameron Young carded a 66 and was in first place.

The Mustangs had a 284 total, tied with Pepperdine. Wake Forest was first at 278, and Alabama was second at 281.

Jimmy Castles, competing as an individual, was tied for 17th place after shooting a 71.
