Freshman outside hitter Adlee Van Winden record 17 kills, Taylor Nelson handed out 32 assists and the Cal Poly volleyball team swept CSUN in a Big West Conference match Friday night at the Matadome in Northridge.

Senior libero Nicole Kessler chipped in 18 digs to help the Mustangs win their seventh consecutive match by scores of 25-22, 25-22 and 25-16. It’s been 27 days since Cal Poly last loss a Big West match and the team now holds a 15-4 overall record and is 7-1 against conference opponents.

The seven-match winning streak is the program’s longest since 2007, and Cal Poly’s ninth sweep of the season is its highest total since 2008.

Several players contributed to Friday’s victory, including sophomore outside hitter Raeann Greisen’s six-kill performance. Junior middle blocker Taylor Gruenewald and senior outside hitter Hannah Schleis finished the match with five kills apiece.
