Taylor Nelson handed out 33 assists, Taylor Gruenewald put down 13 kills and the Cal Poly volleyball team swept Cal State Fullerton in a Big West Conference match Friday night at Mott Athletics Center.
The Mustangs cruised to their fifth consecutive victory, winning by scores of 25-11, 25-15 and 25-21. It took Cal Poly (13-4, 5-1 Big West) less than 90 minutes to hand the winless Titans their 17th straight loss.
Since dropping their Big West-opening match against Hawaii on Sept. 26, the Mustangs have rolled to five wins in a row and lost two of a possible 17 sets during that stretch.
Freshman outside hitter Adlee Van Winden chipped in 10 kills and four digs, Katherine Brouker added a match-high 13 digs and Nicole Kessler finished with 12 digs in Friday’s victory.
