The Cal Poly women’s golf team finished fourth in the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational hosted by Seattle University at the Tacoma Country Club on Tuesday.
Desiree Gillaspy, Sophie Bergland and Madison Hirsch carded 74s in the final round for the Mustangs.
Gillaspy tied for eighth place, with a seven-over-par 223 total and Bergland had a 226 total over 54 holes, good for 13th place overall. Hirsch tied for 18th with a 229 total.
Washington took first overall, posting a one-over-par 865 total. Idaho was second with 896, and Gonzaga was third (901).

The individual medalist was Julianne Alvarez of Washington, with a final-round 68 and a five-under-par 211, beating out teammate Sarah Rhee by five strokes. Idaho’s Michelle Kim was third at 219.
Cal Poly’s final tournament of the fall is Oct. 24 to 25, when the Mustangs host the Lady Mustang Intercollegiate at the Cypress Ridge Golf Course in Arroyo Grande.
